As an actress and singer in the country music genre, Jenna Von Oÿ has a lot of talent to offer to different sets of fans. Most of what she's done in the acting world has been on TV, where she played Six LeMeure on Blossom and Stevie Van Lowe on The Parkers. That series was a Moesha spin-off. She has had several nominations and wins for Best Young Actress, and has a filmography that's longer than many people might realize. Growing Up and Acting on the Regional Stage

Born in Danbury, Connecticut, Von Oÿ's parents were named Frank and Gloria. She went to Newtown High School, and her acting career began on the regional stage with various productions. Around that same time, she also got a start in commercials. As for television acting, she made her debut in 1986, when she was on one episode of ABC Weekend Special. After that, she had a role on Tales from the Darkside, and on Kate & Allie. The CBS sitcom Lenny also cast her in a role, and she was on that show during its entire -- albeit short -- run from 1990 to 1991. In 1990, she wa also cast in Blossom, which ran until 1995. When the series ended she went to the University of Southern California and attended that university's film school.

She was there for two years, and joined the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority before she decided to drop out and go back to acting. She started her role on The Parkers in 1999, and during that show's run she also did voice-over work for an animated show called Pepper Ann. In 2004, The Parkers ended their run. She guest-starred on a Cold Case episode in 2005, as well as providing a guest voice for Family Guy. Most of what Von Oÿ has done has been related to television, whether she had a recurring, starring role or managed a few one-off guest spots. But there's more to her life than that. She's also been in feature films, and of course she's had a personal life that wasn't completely related to being a TV star.

Feature Films and a Personal Life

Von Oÿ was in the feature film Born on the Fourth of July (1989), and provided voice-over work for A Goofy Movie (1995). The direct-to-DVD movie Dr. Doolittle 3 (2006) also had her voice-over work in it, in the role of Gracie. She recorded a demo disc in 2000, as she planned to get a start in country music. In 2007, she released her debut album. It was entitled Breathing Room. Von Oÿ got married in 2010, and had two daughters -- one born in 2012, and the other born in 2014. She is currently separated from her husband and engaged to someone else. But will she continue acting and singing? While there is speculation about what Von Oÿ will do next, all indications are that she hasn't officially retired from singing or acting and will likely continue to do both in the future.

Her very first TV and movie credit came in 1986, and her most recent one was in 2017. That's a pattern that shows Von Oÿ has been working steadily. Since she hasn't said she's retiring, there's no reason for fans to think they won't be seeing more from her. She's active on social media, which makes it easy for fans to follow along on her adventures and see what she's doing as she moves through life. Right now, she's primarily focused on raising her daughters. As they get older, though, it's quite likely that Von Oÿ will return to acting on a more permanent basis and start taking larger roles again.
