Nahla Aubry is the only child that actress Halle Berry had with her ex-husband, Gabriel Aubry. The two were married for five years before separating. Nahla Aubry obviously does not spend much time in the public spotlight, as she is just 11-years-old. However, her mother and father have both existed under the scrutiny of the public eye for decades. Halle Berry first made her way to the industry in 1989, and she has been performing regularly ever since. Gabriel Aubry, on the other hand, is a professional model, entrepreneur, and hobbyist golfer.  While the two have been separated for almost a decade, they still frequently appear in public together while tending to their shared daughter. 

Born Into a Famous Household

Nahla Ariela Aubry was born on March 16, 2008, in Los Angeles, CA. At the time, Berry was experiencing a notable change in her career. Berry was fresh off of the release of Things We Lost in the Fire (2007) which also starred Benicio del Toro. The film was released to positive reviews despite its negligible theatrical gross. Berry would go on to land her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame shortly after the film was released. By the end of the decade, Berry was earning a salary of nearly $10 million per picture.

Gabriel and Halle Berry had met during a Versace photoshoot. They were quick to kindle a romance and before anyone knew anything, the two were dating. After three years together, Berry would give birth to Aubry. Two years later, the couple would separate. A high-profile custody battle would ensue. At the time, Berry was already seeing Olivier Martinez, her future husband, and she had wanted to move Nahla to France in order to live with him.  The case would gain international attention as viewers all over the world took notice. The custody proceedings were complicated and largely centered on Gabriel's ability to be a part of Nahla's life. Outside of court, numerous minor scandals popped up around all the parties involved.

Eventually, things would begin to cool off during the monumental court case. Halle and Gabriel had both agreed to refrain from growing bitter toward one another. They both wanted to provide a stable and happy life for their shared daughter. After a lengthy and occasionally contentious trial, the situation would chill out. Berry and Aubry would end up reaching an amicable custody agreement out of court, thus allowing all parties involved to close the book on the situation.

Living a Life of Luxury

While Nahla Aubry was raised in a broken household, it was clear that she was still being doted upon by both parents. A Superior Court ruling had dictated that Berry allocate financial support to Aubry in order to help maintain their shared daughter's lifestyle. At the time, the ruling was considered progressive due to the gender roles and the financial disparity between the two individuals.

Outside of the relationship between Gabriel and Halle, Nahla would become the half-sister of Maceo Martinez. Martinez was born in October 2013, shortly after Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez had wed in France.  If there isn't much to know about Nahla, there is even less to know about the young Maceo Martinez. At just six-years-old, it is probably safe to say that Maceo does not have much of an opinion about the internet and all the people on it, at least not at this point.

While Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez would date for five years, the relationship would eventually come to an end. Just two years after giving birth to Maceo, Olivier and Halle would file for divorce.  Despite the divorce, Halle and Olivier would also maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their child.  Fans of both entertainers will routinely see Halle and Olivier together with their children. Even though her love life has been hit with the occasional bout of instability, it would appear that Halle always goes out of her way for her children.

The most recent time that Nahla, Maceo, and the rest of the family were captured together by tabloids was in May 2018. Halle had brought the family together for a carnival near their home in Los Angeles. Halle and Gabriel were occasionally seen together though they kept a respectful distance for the most part.
