“I take, like, 500 selfies to get one I like.” Born into one of the most famous families in Hollywood, Kylie Jenner is the youngest daughter of former Olympian decathlon winner Bruce—now Caitlyn—and Kris Jenner. Now 19 years old and ranked by Time magazine as one of “The 25 Most Influential Teens,” Jenner has launched her own cosmetics line, a best-selling app and is one of the top 10 most followed celebrities on Instagram. And to think she’s not even old enough to buy beer!

While most celebrities only get a few tweets or headlines about their attempts to tweak and tighten their looks with plastic surgery, that isn’t the case for Jenner who is a hot topic in the media with entire articles and blogs dedicated to her appearance. After taking the spotlight at 10 years old, there’s plenty of footage of the young Jenner that makes it easy for the media to compare before and after photos that reveal her mature look might not only be the result of womanhood, especially since her family is known for their love of cosmetic surgery.

In recent years, Kylie has set herself apart from her sisters and their signature derrieres by becoming famous for her lips. After turning to lip filler injections in her early teens, Kylie was 17 years old when she convinced her mother, Kris, that the injections were no longer working. That’s when she turned to famed plastic surgeon Dr. Simon Ourian for help. “Kylie has become very wise in what she wants to have done,” he remarked. “She has been going through an amazing metamorphosis over the past couple of years.”

Previously, Kylie opted for a series of lip filler injections to ensure her famous pout stayed plump. However, after consulting with Dr. Ourian about a more permanent solution, he went against standard procedure and gave Kylie a long-term injection that would ultimately be difficult to reverse. Luckily, Kylie knew what she wanted and that the fillers would boost her career rather than become a hindrance or make her the laughing stock of Hollywood. Then again, as a reality star, there’s no such thing as bad publicity!

As anticipated, Kylie received a lot of press for her inflated lips with entire social media accounts filled with fans and critics alike wondering how the teen had finally perfected her signature pout. Initially claiming her lips were natural as young fans started shoving their own lips in bottles to create similar results, plastic surgeons around the world came forward to warn young fans of the risk. Among those was Dr. Susan Evans who argued that Kylie’s pout was completely unnatural and that the plump was likely the result of hyaluronic acid.

With the truth about Kylie’s lips finally out, many wondered if Kylie had only stopped there. Dr. Evans suggested that the 19-year-old appeared to have additional work done saying, “[Kylie’s] cheek bones also look augmented. Her forehead looks smooth, with elevated, augmented eyebrows like Botox creates.” Of course, not all plastic surgeons agree with Dr. Evans as some have chalked up her changing looks as the result of a top-of-the-line makeup team that only a Kardashian could afford.

The entire Kardashian-Jenner clan certainly has their share of plastic surgery rumors especially when it comes to Kris, Kim, Khloe and even Caitlyn. But, the entire family has been pretty good about addressing the rumors with Kris leading the charge and admitting her obsession with her looks and going under the knife. That isn’t to say that the rumors have stopped. In fact, recent rumors suggest that Kylie has followed her sisters’ footsteps straight to the surgeon’s office for butt implants. However, Jenner denied these claims saying, “You know, I used to be 120 pounds. I was really skinny. Now, I’m pushing like 136. But it’s all right, I like the chunkiness.”

As for the rumors about her face, Kylie takes it all in stride. “People started saying that when I was like, sixteen. You think Kris Jenner, at 16 years old, would let me get cheek and jaw reconstructive surgery? Nah! I always used to love my jaw—I was never self-conscious about it.” Now fueling the fire, Jenner says, “I’ve thought about breast implants but I’m like, ‘Why ruin it?’ I’m not against it, but right now, it’s not for me.”
