Shia LaBeouf actually got his start not in television, but on stage. LaBeouf started performing R-rated stand-up comedy when he was just 10 years old, and wound up getting an agent. LaBeouf would then start his acting career, where he landed the lead role on the Disney Channel show “Even Stevens”, which the actor says is the best thing that’s happened in his life. LaBeouf would end up getting recognition for the show and started to land film roles starting with “Holes” in 2003. Since then, LaBeouf has starred in critically acclaimed films as well as blockbusters, including “Transformers”, “Disturbia” and “Fury”.

If you look back on LaBeouf’s days on “Even Stevens”, you might notice that his nose was much shorter and wider than it is these days. LaBeouf’s nostrils also don’t appear to be as large, suggesting that there may have been some work done on his nose. It’s hard to tell when exactly the change occurred, and people seem to be split on whether or not the actor has gone under the knife.

Some have said that LaBeouf simply grew into his nose, as we got to see him grow up, but the change does appear to be more dramatic than most people after going into adulthood. After all, plastic surgeons do say that getting a nose job is best performed when it comes in the late teens. The cartilage will heal much more quickly at a young age, and most noses are fully mature by the time someone reaches about 15 to 17 years old.

The rumors that surround LaBeouf’s possible plastic surgery stem from when “Even Stevens” wrapped up, and shortly before he made his debut as a star in “Holes”. There’s little doubt that his nose looks much different at his current age, though there is one telltale sign that shows off a possible rhinoplasty. There was once a bump on the bridge of LaBeouf’s nose, but it that is no longer a problem. Removing a bump from the bridge of a nose can make it look much longer, which appears to be the situation in LaBeouf’s case.

Like most celebrities, LaBeouf has not addressed the rumors since rhinoplasties can be much easier to cover up than other forms of plastic surgery. A lot of young celebs will get a minor alteration on their nose, as citing an accident that required reconstructive surgery or going through puberty are viable excuses whether they are true or not.

For now, the rumored nose job appears to be the only plastic surgery rumor that’s surrounding LaBeouf. The improvement on his nose (if there indeed was one) has made him a viable leading man in Hollywood. There also haven’t been many negative comments at all regarding the rhinoplasty rumors. In fact, people have been saying the opposite, claiming that he looks much better (and less goofy) than when we first saw him on “Even Stevens”. Others, though, have said that the rumor itself is “ridiculous” and that he doesn’t appear to be much different.

Rumors about another rhinoplasty weren’t helped by an altercation he had back in 2011. LaBeouf was involved in a fight with a shirtless man on the street in Vancouver, and it ended up with LaBeouf getting knocked to the concrete. LaBeouf had clearly taken some damage to his face, with scars on his jawline. It didn’t seem that LaBeouf had injured his nose, but it would have been a viable excuse to have some work done without raising criticism (well, except for getting into a fight on the street).

Whether LaBeouf has gone under the knife or not, it doesn’t seem to have hurt his career at all. The quirky actor usually gets more attention for his antics and movie roles than he does for his slightly altered nose. That’s the dream for most celebrities, who usually have to fend off plastic surgery rumors left and right.
